St. Hermans Blue Hole

E-mail Print PDF

St. Hermans Blue Hole is located twelve miles southeast of Belmopan. There are two entrances one at the Visitor Center at St. Herman's Cave, and one at the Blue Hole itself. Birding is usually good at both sites, although if there are lots of noisy swimmers in the hole you might spend your time on the trails. I have had good look even in the heat of the day at the St. Herman's Cave site.

Getting There

Both entrances are right on the Hummingbird Highway and you should be able to visit easily by bus. Check bus schedules but there are lots of buses running between Dangriga and Belmopan. Any rental car will be suitable to reach the sites.
